  I had a split system installed in late 2015. I paid top dollar for it, which I didn't mind at the time because it was on short notice and at the time & day of my choosing.

  I rang them a couple of weeks later, mainly just to have a conversation about the thermostat - at times it didn't seem to work. I was told that the solution to any problem was going to be expensive, especially since I'd installed a Daikin - ie they were quite happy to disregard the warranty.

  The plan was at some stage get a bigger unit over the next year or two for the lounge room. I'll be pretty surprised if it's a Daikin & it'll definitely be with someone else installing.

  So after half a dozen phone calls I still haven't resolved my issue. I'm glad I've got an air conditioner, it does heat & it does cool, but I don't trust it. So value for money is pretty close to zero.
